The story of what is now known as ConetPass began in 2010 when Edoardo Filippo Scarpellini founded the city’s first tourist card in Milan, Italy. Although initially met with great skepticism, today it is a model exported throughout Europe, and soon also to America and Asia.
ConetPass was born with the aim of simplifying the experience of tourists in the city, offering a single tool to access public transportation and attractions. From the very beginning, we made it easier for visitors to discover Milan without the need to browse multiple websites or deal with unclear prices, always ensuring transparency and convenience. We focused specifically on connecting different transportation systems, often technologically outdated and unable to integrate and communicate, to the detriment of the end user.
Thanks to the trust of millions of users, we have grown to become a leader in Italy, providing our services in all the major cities across the country. Today, with the ambition to bring our model worldwide, we are expanding our presence in Europe, Asia, and the Americas, to accompany travelers beyond Italian borders.
ConetPass promotes a sustainable way of experiencing cities, with public transportation as the main means of mobility. Additionally, we provide our users with immediate access to their chosen attractions, as well as up-to-date information on events, activities, and everything that makes a city experience unique. We believe that local public transportation is a great asset for tourism. While we cannot manage it directly, we can help make it easily accessible to the public.
We are proud of our history, the result of nearly 15 years of innovation and dedication to customer needs. Our commitment continues, with the goal of exporting the Italian know-how that has made us a reference point for millions of travelers worldwide.
OUR SOCIAL IMPACT
At Conet Pass, we have set two key social impact goals to truly make a difference in the areas we are committed to improving.
First, we aim to reduce air pollution by encouraging the use of public transportation. Studies show that public transport can cut urban air pollution by up to 20%, significantly improving air quality in European cities (source: European Environment Agency). By promoting this shift, we strive to make cities cleaner and healthier for both residents and visitors.
Our second goal is to increase awareness of lesser-known attractions in the cities we operate in. By guiding tourists toward these hidden gems, we help smaller, often overlooked communities benefit from the influx of visitors. This approach not only distributes tourism more evenly but also fosters a deeper connection between travelers and the unique cultural heritage of these destinations.
Through these initiatives, Conet Pass is committed to creating a lasting, positive social and environmental impact, contributing to the well-being of both cities and their visitors.
